There are multiple reports, including a statement from CFIUS that “negotiations are continuing” and won’t seek to enforce the order. That said, also of note is a December 14th court date where the US Government is seeking to appeal a block on the ban. just in time for the holidays, Hulu’s co-viewing offering, Watchparty, is now available to everyone just in time for a social-distancing holiday season. There were some small technical issues during the rollout but judging by my twitter feed people are giving them a test. Here’s your Last Week in Digital Media and all the news you may have missed: GENERAL last week marked the November 12th deadline for the TikTok ban (historical timeline here). During the week, TikTok sought intervention from the courts, claiming no update from the relevant Government departments. By the end of Thursday, the ban was delayed by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), “pending further legal developments.” On Friday, CFIUS delayed the ban until November 27th.
