I own a few LIFX smart light bulbs. I’m a big fan of the LIFX Antibacterial smart light that I run on a cycle when I am not home, but I digress – you’re here to get a replacement LIFX HomeKit code.

If you have lost the small piece of cardboard that has the LIFX HomeKit code printed on it that comes with the LIFX smart bulb, all is not lost. If your LIFX light came with a piece of cardboard printed with a HomeKit code, all you need to do is take on your LIFX smart light and look near the serial number at the base of the bulb.

Where to find the LIFX HomeKit Code

Underneath the LIFX serial number on the base of your smart light, you will see “HK” followed by an 8 digit code. The HK stands for Home Kit. It’s in small type and easy to miss, you may need your camera zoom to read it properly. Take a photo or write this number down. This is your LIFX HomeKit code! See all is not lost!

How to Manually Add your LIFX to HomeKit

Now you can manually add your LIFX Smart Light to HomeKit. On your Apple device, within the HomeKit app:

Select “Add Accessory”
Tap “More options…”
Tap “My Accessory Isn’t Shown Here”
Tap “Enter Code”
Then in the field enter the LIFX Code you wrote down above!

All done! This works with LIFX products that support HomeKit natively, that is, they came with a slip of paper with a HomeKit sticker. So no need to worry if you have lost your LIFX HomeKit code.
