I own the Turtle Beach Stream Mic. It’s a streaming mic and works with the Xbox, PS4, and PC. These instructions only apply to this microphone and I cannot help with other brands or troubleshoot issues. For what it’s worth, on my PC there was no software or drivers required.

One of the cool things about Turtle Beach Stream Mic is that it supports different polar patterns or mic sensitivity. The problem is that the current pattern is shown on the front of the Mic using a multi-color LED ring. So it’s not immediately obvious what pattern you are using. So if you’ve lost the instructions for your Turtle Beach stream mic or need some help, this should solve your problem!

I originally wrote this very brief guide is for me (ha!) but hopefully some other people find it useful, it tells you what color on the Turtle Beach LED light ring corresponds with what microphone setting.

To change the LED ring color you press the (very) small button on the rear of the microphone. The front button is only used for muting the microphone.
