A 2025 ask – I’m trying to build something using old Kindles, the 3rd Generation Kindle is ideal or older Kindle touch devices. If you have one, are in the US, and could send it to me, I’d really appreciate it. Preference is for the 3rd Generation Kindle Keyboard but right now, any old Kindle would be great. Just contact me. Thanks.

A Jeep wave to fellow Jeep owners.

I own a Jeep and during summer I like to have the roof open but, like many owners, I have been annoyed by the Jeep seatbelt flap, clap, rattling sound. It’s a clap clap clap side that gets worse at speed and makes having your Jeep top down less enjoyable. I found a fix, under $10, technically under $8 and it’s permanent, works, and doesn’t require seatbelt cover. The great thing about this fix is it doesn’t compromise the safety of your seatbelt, its retraction, or the look of your Jeep and it’s quick and easy to do.

Jeep Seatbelt Flap Fix - Works! To safely fix the Jeep seatbelt flap, grab this adhesive felt from Amazon for under $8. It’s often on sale for under $6. You don’t need all of them, but for $8 it’s a bargain. The great thing about this felt is it is self-adhesive. I have been using this fix for several months now and the adhesive hasn’t come loose or failed and the black color of the felt blends in nicely with my Jeep.

To install the Jeep seatbelt flap fix, The piece you need is the 4″ (10cm) wide felt (pictured on far left), cut it to about 10″ (25cm) in length. To install it, all you do is stick the felt on the seat belt pillar just below the opening of where the retractable seatbelt opening. This provides just enough to close the gap between the seatbelt and the plastic pillar and being felt, the seatbelt will still glide smoothly and retract without an issue.

You’re done! You will have fixed the seatbelt flapping noise on your Jeep – now you can enjoy summer with the roof down!

For what it’s worth, on my Jeep, I only had the flap on the driver side. I installed it on the passenger side for good measure. Several months in and still no Jeep seatbelt flap noise! It’s so easy, you would think Jeep could do this themselves.

Hope this helps someone else!
