I own an ASUS Vivobook S. It’s one of the new generation of Windows ARM laptops running the Snapdragon X Plus processor. It’s amazing and proves Windows ARM is really ready for prime time. The ASUS Vivobook S has a 3K OLED display which makes it even better (here’s the laptop on Amazon and Best Buy).
The ASUS Vivobook S has a backlit RGB keyboard and it’s not intuitive of where you adjust the RGB backlight, well it’s easy, here’s how.
How to set custom RGB backlight colors on the ASUS Vivobook S
These instructions work on the ASUS Vivobook S (Snapdragon X Plus) and newer non-gaming ASUS laptops. This is easy to do, fast, and more importantly, works!
- Launch MyASUS App. You will need to be registered/signed in to the app and it’s included as default software.
- On the left-hand side, select Device Settings.
- Select Exclusives.
- On Lighting Setting, in Light Settings click Color.
- Select the Color you want, you have the full RGB options! Go crazy.
- Click OK, then Click Apply effect.
- You’re done!
Hope this helps someone else!
You don’t need any other software; this will work and the MyASUS app is included by default with your laptop. There are a lot of outdated and wrong instructions that will suggest you need other software, but they’re wrong.
