XTEINK have a new non eReader device that will be released in February 2026. Unlike other devices, such as the XTEINK X4, the new device has a 2.5″ color screen and no battery. Yes, no battery. It’s designed more for NFC ID cards. NFC tags and images are uploaded using the XTEINK iOS app.
This new XTEINK device drops in China on February 11th. Price is RMB99 or approximately US$15. Availability outside of China are yet to be confirmed but will be after this date. I’ve managed to get one and expect delivery late Feb.
It’s worth knowing that due to some NFC writing limitations, this new XTEINK device works best with iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 only. This is because the NFC read-write locations on phones are not located in consistent locations and testing on Android devices is difficult (don’t blame me, not affiliated).
Based on everything I have read this is definitely not a color X3 or an update to any existing XTEINK eReader model. Again, this is not an eReader, if you check out the video you will see it’s mostly for ID cards or wallpapers. It’s best to think of it as an eInk ID badge. The upcoming XTEINK S4 will be the next eReader from XTEINK.
For what it’s worth, there are few non XTEINK NFC devices like this on Amazon for about US$35.
