Breaking news! XTEINK have teased the below video of the XTEINK X4 V2 Pro. The XTEINK X4 V2 Pro is the upgrade of the XTEINK X4. It features a touchscreen and a backlight. Not to be confused with the XTEINK S4.
There’s no word on pricing, but it would need to be cheap to compete against the upcoming S4. Interestingly, the S4 has now been delayed. You can learn more about the XTEINK S4 delay here.
XTEINK X4 V2 Pro Specs
- 5.98mm (thinner than XTEINK X4)
- Touchscreen
- Backlight! with multiple warmth settings – (the backlight most requested X4 feature)
- XTOS (non-Android, same ax X4)
- WiFi
- Real-Time Clock (same as X3)
- USB connectivity (can read/write via USB cable, not currently a feature of current X4)
The operating system has been rewritten for the touchscreen. It looks like a variant of a new XTEINK OS and not Android. Looking through the current menu options, there is references to images, recordings, and videos. If I had to guess at the hardware, XTEINK are moving from ESP32 to possibly an Allwinner F1C100s or F1C200s chipset, which means we’d get a Linux-based OS.
The XTEINK X4 V2 Pro is not to be confused with the XTEINK S4 which is an Android 11 device.
When does the X4 V2 Pro ship?
The X4 V2 Pro is heading into pre-production. No word on release date or pricing. That said, the XTEINK S4 (the Android XTEINK) preorders have been delayed. I think we’re looking at mid-late May for the X4 V2 Pro.
XTEINK seem to be moving from pre-orders to selling once stock is on hand. Keep in mind this is for China, not international orders unless you count grey-market imports from AliExpress. If you can’t wait, grab the X4 now on Amazon.
