Medals
Driver-Mechanic Private James Lowcock was awarded the King George V Silver British War Medal. I have this medal in my possession after securing it from a collector. Photos below.
He was also awarded the Victory Medal.
Military Service
It’s more than likely that Private Lowcock served in the Royal Army Service Corp. It’s possible, if I read his war medal index card correctly, that Private Lowcock served in the 101st Batallion 111th Regiment.

Research Notes
There is a different James Arthur Lowcock, b. 25 March 1896. d. Jun 1969 (Burnley Lancashire), that would have made him around 18 at the start of World War I. James was born in the Nelson sub-district. This is not the same James Lowcock, but both James Lowcock’s did serve in World War I.
